The first cockroach of the year...
...pretty damn huge for February...we've broken the planet. Thankfully, this antenna waving monstrosity didn't have me in quite the same paroxysms of horror inflicted by it's kin nearly two years ago. Just as I'd made my mind up to leave as well...

My sympathies - my work place is being fumigated this weekend for the exact same reason - cockroaches and blow flies found feasting on the carcus of a decomposing (and smelly) possum in our ceiling. Pleasant.
Very funny you mention those pesky creatures SLP, i've just returned from Japan but flew onto Australia for 3 weeks also, I found a dead roach in my case on my return to the UK. i do hope that it was the only one!!! All the best. Mal
I have this niggling little fear that upon my return, I'll accidentally introduce cockroaches into the UK ecosystem...but maybe it's too cold for them there...
